My Sauce Story

Growing up in Kansas City, Missouri, one cannot help but to see, smell, and of course eat, bbq. Known worldwide as having some of the best Q in the world, KC is also known for its sauces. All the great bbq houses have their own unique blend of spices, tangy tomato, vinegar, and sweetness. Such is the case with my own award winning and critically acclaimed bbq. I’ve always sold my sauce in my restaurants for years and now I’m thrilled to start my new artisan sauce company, SAUCE CODE. Sauce Code gets it name from the area code I grew up in, 816, and those 3 digits are front and center. If you didn’t know, well now you know. 

 

My award winning recipe begins with the finest organic tomatoes and spices, cider vinegar, brown sugar, and a unique curing process.

 

The story only begins in KC. I studied classical French cuisine, and have been working as a chef and restaurateur for over 35 years and I’m am thrilled to bring some of that experience to these sauces. My sauce is a specialty artisan sauce. My sauce is crafted to eat with your finest dishes. All of our sauces are organic, gluten free, vegan, and handmade. I know you’ll love it!
